DAY 2: Rain, rain and more rain.

It has been raining in my part of Jamaica non-stop for three days. That is never good news because as much as we love the fact that a river runs through our district it also means that when we have torrential rains there is increased risk of flooding. I am sharing some of the pictures that I have been receiving from home. Please keep Maggotty and other parts of Jamaica in your prayers.

UPDATED: October 24, 2015-  My Testimony  Last year I decided that for my 40 something birthday I would gift myself a mammogram. It was my first time and it was an uncomfortable experience. A couple of days after the screening I received a call from the Dr., she told me that there was a small spot on my breast that they will need to a second mammogram to determine what it could be. She assured me that it could be nothing and I should not panic. It has been over 2 years.

I started this blog when I went on "maternity leave" and I basically abandoned it when the reality of baby and not enough time in the day hit. I am back. A lot has changed in the past couple of years but the one thing that endures is my love for Jamaica and my pangs of nostalgia ever so often. Jamaica has gone through a lot since 2008 and I have a lot of catching up to do. In addition to motherhood, I also discovered Facebook and that became an outlet for sharing news and discussing issues in short snippets. I was delighted today when I received a notification from Blogger of their new feature that allows me to incorporate the social media in my blog and vice versa. So here is a relaunch. I will try to keep up as I reach out to all Jamaicans. I hope that you will also reach out to me with your comments and views. ~Peace~
